Okaaay, so here's my first piece in like forever. Its only 1/8th complete and I really need some ideas on how to finish it/improve it. Its for my Dad's planning company, and he likes the overall theme, but what I'm looking for is how to refine it. How to finish it.. I don't know, I've got a couple ideas now but it needs some more input. Please comment! I don't care if you're like "its gay, ur gay, web design is gay, you suck, get a real job" etc.. as long as you have some constructive criticism to go with it.. please!
Well, everything looks really good except for the sidebar color... grey doesn't really fit in.. seems a little dull.. Great work on the header and overall, the rest of the design.. Also, I'd suggest using a different font and a little lighter color on the links and the header titles..
Looks awesome. The grey to white material transition at the top seems a little harsh, and the grey wood on the sides looks slightly out of place. Amazing work on the headers and titles.
Yeah, I originally had it totally different and left that for some reason. Now that you mention it I see it too, thanks.
The grey wood stuff is pretty much temporary for now, that was the best wood texture a 5 second Google search could find. Basically just to show him what it could look like.
Yeah, that'll be changing as soon as I can find a suitable texture to use. Different font is a great idea, but I don't understand your last comment as the header titles are white. The links yes, I also have an idea for better utilization of that sidebar now anyways so they may not even look like that next time I update this.
